The University introduced the Staff Mentorship Scheme in 2019-20 with the objectives to:

• help mentees in getting to know the norms, culture, and expectations of the University
• provide informal advice to mentees in supporting them to become effective teachers
• provide informal guidance to mentees in developing a productive and impactful research career
• help mentees in assimilating into the academic community of the University, the profession and local society

The Scheme involves all teaching and research units that have full-time professoriate/ instructional staff.
